Important message from Slick Software

The HighGrow FREEWARE version 4.20 is finally here !!

After much consideration and deliberation, Slick Software has finally decided to release another completely FREE version of the HighGrow - Legal Marijuana Growing game. Although this version still includes several rigorous date and time checks to discourage cheating, it no longer has any growth or harvesting restrictions, and there are no more restrictions on the importing and exporting of seeds.

This program follows years of research on the growth and life cycle of Cannabis, a plant that is not only a very important part of the cultural and spiritual life of millions of people around the world, but is also increasingly being used for a wide variety of medicinal purposes.

The information and images in this program are presented as information that should be made available to the public. Slick Software does not advocate, nor encourage the breaking of any law. At the time of this version's release, marijuana use and cultivation is still illegal under most international laws and statutes.

Although HighGrow encourages people to grow their own marijuana in it's virtual grow room and guarantees that the growth of it's virtual plants will closely resemble the growth of real plants, Slick Software will not be held responsible for encouraging anyone to grow real marijuana.

Slick Software urges users to support the Drug Policy Foundation, the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), and similar organizations in their efforts to secure sane, sensible and fair marijuana legislation.

Although you may freely distribute copies of this version of HighGrow to all your friends, no part of this program (including all images and MIDI files), may be sold or used commercially in any way, without the prior knowledge and consent of Slick Software.

Final Words of Thanks

Although this program was developed entirely by Slick Software after many years of research, it would not have been possible without the help of several very influential people.

• Thanks to Ed Rosenthal, the marijuana "guru", whose books - Marijuana Grower's Guide, and - Ask Ed - have inspired me to learn all there is to know about this fantastic plant. These books, not only provide all the information you will need to grow potent marijuana, they also provide huge amounts of excellent scientific data.
  
• Thanks also to "Toon" from Holland, whose blatant commitment to growing marijuana and excellent Internet web-site (available at http://www.xs4all.nl/~tone/hemp.html) gave me enough courage to "come out of the closet" about my passion and write this program to inspire others to grow their own marijuana. Stand up for your rights !!
  
• Thanks to my very good friend "Vince" (the Prince) for the many hours he spent composing some of the MIDI files included with this version of HighGrow. Thanks also to the Windows program called "Band in a Box", for giving me the ability to create the other tunes without too much effort!

The biggest thanks must certainly go to "Gary R", the first person to register his HighGrow version and a guy who has since become a good e-friend.
